Seven Mountains of Influence
Media
Text: Isaiah 59:14-15
speaks of truth failing and justice being ignored.
It also says that it greatly displeased the Lord.
This is speaking of a society that has forsaken the Lord and His ways and there is no justice and no righteousness.
This is so catastrophic that whoever repents and turns from evil becomes the enemy of that society and system.
This can only occur when the mindset of a people has become so warped that it believes wrong things and embraces ungodly, immoral, and antichrist philosophies.
The media is one of the main instruments that is used to accomplish the purpose and goal of evil in any and every nation.
Isaiah 5:20
Proverbs 23:7
For the media to be reformed, there must be a return to a simple communication of the facts and not an effort to interpret them.
1 Corinthians 14:8
We need a sound that will not cause fear, but will turn the hearts of the people to God.
We don’t need the sound of agenda and personal thoughts. We need a certain sound, a particular sounds.
ie. - fire alarm.
At some point we must choose love and truth.
Shalom - in ancient Jewish tradition peace was valued more than truth.
The rabbis would argue that if there was a situation in which truth and peace were in conflict with each other, peace should take precedence.
Perhaps, this is because the Hebrew word for “peace” is shalom, which means to be wholly unified with God and others. Among the rabbis, it was more important for you to be unified with God and others than to be “right.”
Now, remember when you break the letters of the word “shalom” we see, “to destroy the authority of chaos.”
The early church taught that those who follow God should know peace and pursue it, love their neighbors, and attract others.
This is the peace that God offers — peace with God, peace of God, peace with others
