Blessed to Bless Pt 1

Blessed to Bless

Bill, Will & Skill

Text: Exodus 25:1-9, 35:4-9, 36:1-7, Gen. 14:20, Gen. 28:20-22, Leviticus 27:30-34, Numbers 18, Deut. 14:22

God built the tabernacle as a physical, yet portable dwelling place where He could meet with His people. It gave the people a physical place to meet with God. The first meeting place was portable meaning that they could move it from place to place as they traveled.
Contrary to traditional church opinion, I believe that God wants to meet with His people. He
wanted to provide a place where His people could come and draw near to Him.

Exodus 25:1-2
- offering - Trumah - ter-oo-mah - a present, to offer, contribute.
- willingly - to volunteer as a solider, to present spontaneously, to give freely.
- take - accept, receive.
God’s will, God’s bill - He mad provision for the vision.

The items they were to bring were items they were instructed to take with them when they left Egypt. Everything they needed to build the the Tabernacle was provided for them when they left Egypt.

Exodus 35:4-9
Exodus 35:22

They brought offerings because they were aware in their hearts of God’s mercy. This was a
change of heart from the selfishness we have seen up to this point.

Pharaoh ordered them to build buildings for him in Egypt. They weren’t excited about it and He even called them lazy and refused to provide them the supplies they needed.

There was a shift from self-centered living to extravagant worship.

I believe it was because they found something they could believe in that glorified God. Exodus 35:31-33God provided, He just needed them to be willing to move it and be the vessels He used to get it to where it needed to go.

Exodus 36:1

Bezalel - beh-zuh-el
Aholiab - ah-ho-li-ab

He gave wisdom and skill to those he appointed and anointed to labor in building the tent.
Exodus 36:2

The people gave so much that they had to be instructed to stop bring their offerings.

Tithing was in put in place until Deuteronomy 14:22, yet they people same the vision and gave to the need.

Genesis 14:20
