The Tabernacle (The Laver)

The Tabernacle

The Laver

Text: Exodus 30:17-20, John 13:8-10

The salvation is where your journey as a Christ follower begins, not ends.

The church has told the lie that, “Nothing else matters because the goal is to get to Heaven.”

That’s why the altar is the first stop, not the last. You can’t go any further in until your sin debt is handled.

God wants to get you to Heaven, but just as much, God wants to get Heaven to you. His will on earth.

You have to be clean to go in!

In the outer courts there are only two places to visit.

A lot of people stay in the outer courts.  That’s why is stinks. We never wash the stuff. We swat at the flies cause in the outer courts is where the sin is dealt with and the flesh is killed.

At the laver - washing to be clean, to be qualified to go deeper.

There are certain things that can’t stay if you are going deeper.

You can be saved and be dirty.

You can’t skip the laver and expect miracles.

In the inner courts is where miracles, signs and wonders manifest.

Water is a type of the Holy Spirit

Sanctification - Set apart - Instantaneous and Progressive

Anointing at the laver - blood and olive oil

- right ear - hear the Word of the Lord
- right thumb - actions

- right big toe - daily walk

Sanitation grade of a restaurant

The laver was made from the mirror of the women of God who serve in the tabernacle.

- they no longer needed them.
- they were no desired them.

- they were reflective.

They got to serve. They didn’t have to serve.
