Enter His Gates (Fish Gate)

ENTER HIS GATES

Fish Gate

Nehemiah 3:3.5
Noblemen of Tekoa
The Fish Gate named such because the fishermen of Galilee would bring their fish in through this gate to be sold.
It was in the northern wall next to the tower of Hananeel.
This tower was part of the city’s defence system and was situated near the citadel, where the soldiers guarded the temple and protected the northern approach to the city, which was especially vulnerable.
The Fish Gate reminds us of the time when Jesus called his first disciples.
“And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he said to them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets and followed him.”

Proverbs 11:30 Luke 10:2-4 Romans 1:16 Mark 1:16-17 Romans 10:9-10

Matthew 28:19
Romans 8:9 tells us that the same Holy Spirit is abiding in every true
believer.
If we are not willing to speak out about our salvation and tell others about His love and mercy; if we can not to give glory and praise to His name for forgiving our sins; if we have don’t have desire and/or burden to tell others about Jesus ; then we to take Paul’s advice to the church at Corinthians:
“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
The apostle Paul rejoiced when he wrote to the Thessalonians saying, “For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?” (1 Thessalonians 2:l9).
In addition to the joy we experience in this life when we lead someone to Jesus, there will also be the joy of seeing those we lead to the Lord in Heaven who will be our special prize and crown. The crown of rejoicing
“You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” (2 Corinthians 3:2-3).
